Metaxia Sterianos has a BTech in Jewellery Design & Manufacture from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She is a finalist in the prestigious De Beer Shining Light Awards – the largest diamond competition in Africa. Jewellery pieces for this sought-after Award are judged on originality, creativity, presentation, effective use of materials, wearability and the perceived ability to be manufactured and sold. Metaxia finds her inspiration from organic items, such as leaves, flowers, shells, stones and other natural forms. Her exclusive, hand-made, designer pieces are modern, exciting and very stylish. She works predominantly in silver and uses gemstones, semi-precious stones, crystals and fresh water pearls, but she can also work in gold and platinum, upon request.
